I wish they’d bring back the chicken caesar pita that was my favorite Wendy’s item when I was a teenager they got rid of it in the early to mid 2000s I think. They had other flavors too never tried them just got the chicken caesar

What happened in the last few years that Jersey Mikes is suddenly everywhere before a couple years ago they were pretty rare to come by except on the east coast (especially in New Jersey and New York) now they’re suddenly one in every town just like subway and McDonald’s. That was true over a decade ago but with all the shifting pricepoints due to inflation if I'm going to spend 18 fucking dollars on a footlong I'll just spend 22 on a jersey mike's 16incher or whatever they are. Subway just isn't remotely affordable enough anymore to offset how middling their quality is. I will agree though that the expansion rate the last 5 years or so has been shocking. It can't possibly be sustainable.

These were fucking good I always felt like the only one who ever ordered them, they never seemed that popular so it’s not surprising they got rid of them. They lasted way longer than most items that aren’t super popular do though, today they woulda been gone in a year, the pitas lasted at least a full decade think they came out in the mid 90s and went away in the mid 2000s

It was so much better about 5-10 years ago. My nostalgia is correct. About 4-5 years ago they fucked up how they did the fries. they're passable but they're just not as good anymore. I have happy memories of going to Wendy's with dad as a boy. They used to have a salad bar in there. As an autistic young adult I would go in the same joint and read Time magazine or whatever print newspaper they had on hand.

You could have made this argument 5+ years ago, but now it's just not tenable with any honest broker. The thinness of the McDonald's fries is the key for them, and their process is consistent. As I said before, Wendy's fucked up their process a while back. A common practice when I consume my goyslop while driving is to reject the shitty slivers, simply throwing them back into the bag. Wendy's now produces many more of these, sadly. I can finish 95+ percent of a given McDonald's fry bag/box.

Their basic burgers aren't great but they're not bad either and they're always the same good-enough experience. Their fries are unmatched though

This is so important and no one gets it. I hate those sliver cuts and Wendy's gives you way too many. McDonalds must have its contractors discard so many short slivers at the plant. I do remember Wendy's fries being better in the past but they still weren't as good as the Golden Arches.

i went to taco bell for the first time in like 2 years earlier this week and couldnt believe fuckin buritto supreme is almost $8 now!! fuck, i used to always get that cuz it was the cheaper of the burritos, being only like 3 something, when the fuck did it become almost 10 bucks? shits way smaller than it used to be too, its barely bigger than the soft taco, its basically a soft taco supreme but with refried beans (basically looked like picrel, 10 bucks for this!!!) i will go to taco bell no more with those fucking prices
