Back from TIFF.

Frankenstein was a very good Frankenstein movie. Great make-up and production design, questionable CGI. If you like Del Toro's style then you'll love this movie. The acting was fine; the actor playing the monster gave the best performance. On the whole is was just good.

JUNK WORLD was a blast. If you're a fan of the original movie JUNK HEAD then you'll love this too. Weird, funny, and action packed. The BTS during the credits of how they made the movie was also really cool to see. I hope the director is able to find another crew to make the next movie so it doesn't take him 10 years to make the third film.

Why does every horror movie have to be a shitty thinly veiled metaphor for some retarded shit. I wish the fucking word "TRAUMA" never made it into the horror lexicon.

I want to watch a monster that does things because it is hungry or playing like a cat with a rabbit. Or it has some other motive other than being a retarded stand in for the writer to voice their distain for getting spanked or told "no" as a kid. Go see a fucking therapist you freak.

That doesnt mean I just want to watch gore. I want monster flicks where there isnt an abusive, alcaholic parent. I don't want to know shit about the main character because it is always a TRAURMRER dump of retarded shit.

Why can some people go into the woods on a hunting trip and get hunted by a wendigo? Why cant an alien monster just kill because it is hungry and not just as a metaphor for rape or whatever retarded nonsense.

Horror is straying from the path and realizing you're lost in bear country. The fear of being hunted with no real reliable mode of escape.
