It's a decent line from the movie after they essentially reworked Prickly and Finster into more sympathetic figures, but I honestly prefer the early episodes in which they are presented as full-on villains, OP's pic isn't actually from the movie but from an early episode in which Prickly holds a contest to make a kid principal for one day and then rigs it so TJ wins and he can exploit the opportunity to mold him into another Menlo, initially TJ does the usual and completely undermines the rules of the school until Prickly flatters him into megalomania, at which point TJ very quickly morphs into an authoritarian figure, which not only compounds the later episode in which TJ takes over the economy of the playground in a similarly despotic fashion, but is also massively more entertaining that Prickly simply being an overly emotional old man.
Another early highlight is the episode in which Finster forces TJ to stand on a chalk square for five minutes and he literally loses his mind.

Was this show a homage on the A-Team? I used to watch it back in the day and it felt like I missed some references

it's prickly that doesn't know how good he's got it. i'd love to see recess remade where the whole school is some 90% black shithole and there is no whoopie cushions or "pranks" anymore just stabbings, shootings, and the occasional sexual assault

I was stuck in a boring shit town in southern Ontario. Middle of fucking nowhere with nothing but suburbs, a single street with a single traffic light. It was so tawdry and empty of purpose. It was close to a military base which meant everyone was retarded and insane. So many kids from abusive homes and random psychos meant that any small town high trust behavior was thrown out the window. Everyone was a wigger or hick.

I wish I could enjoy that whimsical childhood from cartoons. All the kids in my neighborhood were obsessed with rap videos (all white) and talking about drugs. Just pure white trash trailer park existence.
