I didn't like that music when it was popular, but I'm feeling a bit nostalgic about it now.

You're partly right but for me politics had very little to do with not liking it, I'm a moderate and have always had many lefty friends. I was getting laid a lot back then so it wasn't an incel thing either. I was just annoyed by hipsters cause back then they were everywhere in San Francisco where I lived and I was kind of annoyed by the contrast between the pretense of being artistic and the reality that they spent 90% of their time trying to figure out how to get laid. So was I, but I like to imagine, I don't know if it's true or not, that I at least wasn't so pretentious about it. Nowadays San Francisco is kind of a cultural wasteland mostly inhabited by techies and rich boomers though, and so I find myself missing the hipsters. There was a time, my friends, when the hipster roamed the Earth.
