The entire trilogy is pulled forward by the sheer power of Michael as a character.
The first film is good, but you can see the cracks.
The second film is half kino, half a disaster
The third film... well, it's cool that Michael is in a tunnel eating rats.

Vicuous is pretty good. For most movies, the sound mixing is terrible and music and stuff is too loud but this movie, everything is balanced. You can tell a lot of effort went into the audio.

you havent seen modern tv? they just take a concept people already like, make the first episode be all about the stuff they already like about it, then do about 7 or 8 more episodes in the middle where it's all pointless shit nobody cares about that some people call "character development", then they do a big finale episode that is kind of what people wanted to see but filter through a big glass of all the who gives a shit they crammed in the middle.
Halloween would be perfect for modern tv.

I just watched the Good Boy movie
I must admit, it's simple, it has some pretty basic horror setups but ALL OF THEM actually work.
I was rooting for the doggo/pewo from the start to end.
I clung to the slightest hope that it would have a less sad ending.
I looked at my cat and though YOU WOULD NEVER
And all those ingredients actually made me feel physically afraid in some parts. I am not saying too scare to stop watch.
Then you remember weapons and bring her back and you realize the value of Good Boy
To me, Good Boy is the Horror version of Flow

Pretty cool flick. The "monster" is quite imaginative, and I liked Jeff's character. Also it is nice that they decided to show Stacy's spectacular tits at the beginning of the film, those kind of courtesies is what's missing in horror films nowadays.

While /hor/ rightfully lambasts I Saw the Tranny Glow whenever it's brought up.
Masks and make-up work from the unmade CW F13 series from many years back.
>Much like the failed attempts by Paramount to release a new film, the CW network could never agree with Horror Inc. on a direction for the show. The show's journey that began in 2014 was finally laid to rest in 2016. At that same time, Paramount was developing a film while partnered with Platinum Dunes and director David Bruckner. That collaboration was also dissolved in late 2016 and left a lot of development work unused.
>Sota FX was hired to create the effects for the television show and also worked on effects for the 2016 film. After both projects flamed out, their shop had in their possession numerous pieces of art, maquettes, and latex masks representing Jason Voorhees' new look. Ganon Gorder recently contacted us with some awesome photos of these items as well as the machete that was being developed.

there's a difference and you know it. Alien had sigourney weaver as a strong female character but it wasnt preachy. horror manga is pretty much written specifically for a female audience but it isnt political and it doesnt get on a soapbox. a lot of stuff now has a particular agenda and it gets in the way of telling a good story.

I understand you view it as an "A24 slow-burn psychological trauma informed horror movie" but in the case of Bring Her Back it actually manages to do this well while also being a scary movie. Of course Hereditary also did this and you probably hate it for the same reason. It doesn't really matter.

Joe R Lansdale is among my favourite authors. Hap and Leonard series is glorious swamp noir. His horror stories are spectacular and integrate in his lore literary works like Paradise Sky and The Bottoms. Additionally, he wrote some of the best Batman TAS episodes. A campfire raconteur.

I think that pretty much covers the series. Hard To Die has the same actors as Sorority House Massacre 2 and was made right after but is more of an action exploitation. It's still good, well bad good. I haven't seen the 2021 The Slumber Party Massacre reboot.
I got some valid roasting after this post a couple of threads back

>Oceanside a camp of LE STRONK WOMEN ONLY
>We have to visit a museum to steal an actual wagon display, cause we don't know how to make wagons
>We are driving cars again two episodes later
then I wouldn't watch, and apparently
>Negan is the good guy now
>Michonne teams up with a tinkering dwarf to save Rick from evil government army in third string spinoff
for me the most memorable of all the shit was the fat voodoo woman in fear the walking dead (LOL, that show). She was somehow outsmarting the entire group by covering herself in pancake batter and talking like a person that had five strokes
