agreed. and the med school season wasn’t really that bad, it just wasn’t the same without most of the cast.
I did notice something funny, though. in the beginning of the med school season, turk and jd see each other for the first time in a while and the “guy love” song plays when they hug (I think this also happened in one other episode after the musical episode, but I forget which). but the point is that in past seasons, jd says that all the music we hear in the show is playing in his head. like the sad music or the “bwah” when someone leaves a scene, etc.
but jd shouldn’t know “guy love” because the musical episode happened inside a patient’s head, not jd’s. technically, according to the “lore” or “cannon” or whatever you want to call it, we shouldn’t be hearing that song unless it’s playing in jd’s head. which means jd must actually know the guy love song.
there’s a couple ways this could happen. he could have talked to the musical patient afterwards and she could’ve told him what she heard, or she could’ve gone on to release an album of songs she heard in her head, and jd listened to it.
but my favorite headcannon reason is that when they heard there was a patient who was hearing music, jd and turk decided to perform for her the song they had been writing/rehearsing together, and so she wasn’t actually hallucinating the song (just the backup dancers, etc). it’s not in the episode or anything, but I like to imagine they had been working on that song for weeks and then they were like “finally, this is the perfect time for guy love!” kek
