For some reason people do not seem to understand this but until very recently in history, like 25 years ago, Ireland was a gang run ghetto shithole. And it has spent majority of its history as a dirt poor shithole under foreign rule.

The modern infrastructure, industry, and available people that are skilled and educated to make these things simply did not exist there until the 21st century at the absolute earliest. Even then still majority of the country is underdeveloped and 19th century, and still run by local gangs.
