Out of every person or guest on RLM, Jay seems the most peculiar to me. Even after 15 years there's just something about him I can't put my finger on. Having such a strange obsession and limitless encyclopedic knowledge in obscure, low-budget horror films from Italy or Poland. Also being able to recall the names of every director/writer/actor of a black and white Swedish film made in 1964 that only 100 people in the world have actually seen. He seems to really be afraid to show any genuine emotion becuase it might put him on the same level as all the other asshole movie critics. Even the slightest jab from Mike or Rich gets him irritated then he slowly shuts down all together. Jay's the type of guy to make snarky remarks hinting that he has better taste than you. He can be a snobby douche and I honestly think it comes from his repression of being a in the closet homo. His weird parasocial "Jay can do no wrong" fans on /tv/ are creepy as hell though.
