Why don't more people talk about the death of Elijah Woods character its the creepiest death in a non-Horror. He gets chopped into a bunch of pieces, hes still alive, but his character cannot feel pain I dunno I forget I only saw it once but it stayed with me. This is one of the few movies ever names the specific part of the detroit metro area where I am from, and the location is so accurate it could have been shot two blocks away from where my aunt and uncle lived.
Its seriously just Four Brothers, and that stevan segal and DMX movie Exit Wounds.
Honorable mention to The Last Kiss Goodnight, an underrated shane black action movie with Geena Davis and Sam Jackson where the climax is blowing up the ambassador bridge.

this is the pinnacle of edgekino which cannot be adapted, the guy who was talking about the necessity of COOL is entirely right. sasuke and kakashi entering the exams with the leaves spiraling around them is edgekino, twilight (which i posted) is edgekino, the one is edgekino. it has to: defy expectations of human limits into the absurd, push human personality traits to the absurd, increase the level of weight behind every action to the absurd, all the while still making it look (and sound) COOL. further examples of edgekino: gantz, every single Neveldine/Taylor movie, the character of Hoffman in SAW (particularly in 4-7), push, chronicle, jumper, versus.
