I am so sick of moldy old slashers, for real. Every Spooktober I binge on a certain Unversal monster. I could post all my old reviews for Franky and Wolfy, but that would just annoy, I fear. This year I'm doing all the Dracula movies!

Im general? They're goofy but look AWESOME, with a wide variety of visual styles. Now Franky for instance -- best look and feel is Bride, but tightest writing is the third one, the Willis Cooper one with the weird Expressionist set.

Wolf Man movies have the goofiest plots of all, but House of Frankenstein . . . man, John Carradine was one hell of a Dracula! With a size-changing ring that lets people see ghosts! Good lore, but nobody ever chains Lon up, or pays attention to the moon phase!

TL;DR Not enough attention to writing, but iconic visuals and masterful, pioneering filming. Fun always!

Night of the Reaper is one of the worst pieces of shit I've seen in years. If you ever read a creepypasta that was not creepy and also a blatant power fantasy written by a 12 year old where none of the characters make any sense and the story is just contrivance after contrivance to try and got to a terrible monologue and wanted more this is the movie for you.

Holy fuck this has to be the worst script I've seen in any genre in years. I'm not usually nitpicky but I think anyone who liked this garbage must be the kind of person who pre-orders video games.

Dracula movies stink save the first, Frankenstein, the whole series is good but my fav is Ghost of Frankenstein, the first Wolfman stinks but I love all his subsequent appearances, he's the best part of the Frankenstein series when he joins it. First Invisible Man and the Mummy were so bad I didn't bother watching the rest of those series. The Black Cat, The Raven and Murders in the Rue Morgue are fun Lugosikinos. Duh, it's the SECOND MOVIE. It has some of that off-the-cuff genius the first had and some more tricks beside, like the three-dimensional-feeling chase scenes through the woods that put you right there, the mystical and creepy head shrine, the Jason's mom pantomime. It's a really GOOD-LOOKING movie where the directory had an eye for depth and interesting textures (like some Italian horror films).

F13s in the middle are all such shit people don't ask about which one is really good, but which was sucks less. Jason X is wonderfully stupid fun, and Freddy vs. makes you feel like the Jason lore is a lot better than it is.

He was merely rendered unconscious via the drowning and washed ashore somewhere else, with Pam only assuming he was completely dead and embarking on her revenge scheme.
In the meantime, Jason wandered the more desolate areas of the woods, potentially more retarded than ever before from the oxygen deprivation sustained during his near drowning.
