The dumbest scene is when Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp are having a swordfight and Orlando Bloom uses the French Three Pronged Riposte. The French Three Pronged Riposte was only invented 60 years after the movie supposedly takes place so there's no way Bloom's character could have known it. It took me right out of the movie. I spent the rest of the movie seething about machined ironwork in the film, they couldn't even bother to hand-forge the props using period-accurate iron.

i watched Kill Bill 1+2 recently and the 88 club fight scenes was kinda fucking bad, all the extras were just doing cartwheels and waving their swords around behind Uma Thurman, kinda reminded me of the god-awful red room fight scene from Last Jedi.

I’ve had it explained to me that he was flabbergasted or whatever by seeing all these monsters and dead men and realizing he was fucked or something but at the same time I think his ship which had 500 cannons on both sides would have raped the other two ships if he just opened fire on them. Would have at least been a draw.
Or maybe I got filtered and he wanted the good guys to win or something and realized he was in the wrong I’m just not sure how he got there we needed one other litttle scene in this movie with this guy to tie it into this weird final scene so it hits harder and isn’t just kind of weird.
