An odd thing and possible error in Way of Water is how that guy kind of just disappears.
Jake throws a human soldier at him, what seems like a nonlethal blow, you expect him to get up and keep fighting after that but he's never seen again

I think you could be right. Because Jake goes to finish him but is out of ammo. So he repositions switching to his tomahawk and is subsequently accosted by some more soldiers. Some where in there should be that Recom recovering or something because getting a dude throw at you is not exactly lethal.

The Recoms were a bit disappointing. They just died too quickly
