alright i finished Troll 2 and Best Worst Movie. what a crazy ride. ill have to check out some of Claudio Fragasso's other work, but it seems like a lot of them were codirected with more competent directors. i found him and his wife to be pretty interesting because they sincerely believe it's a serious, timeless parable with an important message, and though he has said "i was the most American director in America", he seems to not really understand Americans much at all.

A 1991 Sci-fi/Horror movie Directed by Lam Ngai Kai, who also made Riki-O: The Story of Ricky, and thought it was wonderful.

Now it's not as gory as you'd expect based on who Directed it but still has some great gooey practical effects.

If I were to describe it I'd say it's a cross between The Cat From Outer Space/Invasion of the Body Snatchers 78/The Thing 82/The Blob 88.

Even if you don't want to watch it, at least check out this insane battle between the titular Cat and Dog....

While 88 Films went above and beyond with this one by commissioning beautiful artwork for its slip and box cover that inside includes a booklet on the film.

Highly recommended and the thing I liked most was its sometimes whimsical and charming atmosphere, while even going a bit surreal at times, usually during the monster battles.
