Overall, it’s good. My only problem is that it’s too long, ten seasons with about 20 episodes each. As a result, it’s too episodic. Clark’s friends can die in one episode, and by the next, he’s emotionally fine. Also, in this version, Clark defeats most of his enemies, including Darkseid, before even turning 18, which is pretty funny.
If it had been made today, with maybe five seasons of ten episodes each, it would have been perfect.

Every single character in this show, including Jonathan constantly lied to the people they supposedly cared about to create drama under the guise of "protecting them". Jonathan also made numerous decisions, seemingly on a whim without really talking to his family or sometimes even going directly against what they talked about because of his pride. He also got into numerous fistfights over retarded shit which only made things worse, the most notable being the one that triggered his heart infarction that cost him his life. But in turn, Clark is meant to keep Lex in check in case he ever goes full out evil. They represent mutual deterrents in case the other goes rogue. On opposite ends, but there is respect between the 2 because they know that the other will do whatever they can to stop an evil Lex or evil Clark.
