It really do be like that before a tornado for some reason. You'll have your breeze and distant lightning for a while but then all the sudden it will get quiet and still for a few minutes before the tornado winds hit. The weather is creepy it's hard to explain. The air pressure changes does something on an unconscious primal level you can feel something is off.
