In addition to what the other anons said, the movie ends with the dude dying, leaving little option without resorting to a bullshit resurrection.
Plus, the guy himself is pretty awful. He left his mom and sister to die in the streets while he enjoyed a life of luxury, and he spends the movie acting more like a stalker and a cult recruiter than a love interest, his entire relationship with Rumi is based on lies.

True, I'm not gonna pretend there's much to go off on, but that's an unfortunate result of being a movie. Totally Spies are also super het, but they have well-defined personalities and relationships with each other that makes them fun to ship together.
Not nearly as baffling as shipping Huntrix with the other fuckboys, who are mute minions who get killed in the climax without fanfare.
