All caught up with the revival so far, and have to say I absolutely adore it. American adult comedy animation isn't really my thing, but seeing a Japanese interpretation of it is fun - plus there's a lot of nostalgia to seeing these girls again.
Not sure how much others have felt this way, but I'm actually surprised at how much warm sincerity there has been in the second season. Like the most recent episode with Panty and Kneesocks just made me smile. These four girls deserve happiness together.

Exactly that. Which episodes in the original season had that vibe? It's been a while - I'm showing it to a friend, but so far the first couple have all been the standard "50% sex jokes, 30% poop jokes" tone.

I get that this board is sort of a weirdly puritanical sect of himedanshi, but I disagree about this - the only explicit incest in the original was more or less a gag scene between the Demon Sisters. The new season has actually gone farther in terms of sisterly bonding and yuri vibes in my opinion. The last episode literally had Panty blowing off Brief so that she could prioritize dancing with Kneesocks.
The Angel Brothers suck and I hate them, but seeing the girls blow them away in Episode 6 was awesome. Though I'm guessing they'll probably end up being friends at the very end of the season, rather than being thrown in a furnace like they deserve. Which will be disappointing.
Though I'm still just glad they turned out to be the season's antagonists who get smacked around and humiliated pretty much every time. Before Ep. 6 I was worried they'd be new protagonists meant to appeal to normies and tumblr girls. I guess they are still that, but at least they're on the opposite side.

Panty is a fictional character incapable of deliberately stealing screentime. Jesus Christ this is why I almost always avoid discussion of things I enjoy. Some of you are insufferably whiny.
