Maybe I'm coping but I don't really see that being the case given they just announced they've been "sexualizing" a 15 year old all along & didn't remove that scene despite how touchy people get about that stuff (and they had time to do it, too - there was an extended period between the initial social media butthurt over the convention showing & the actual TV airing. Plus the staff are known to work very fast sometimes, as was the case with Sushio getting his work done barely any time before airing for the final episode of S1. Scanty & Kneesocks only had one incest scene in S1 and still share a bed. Garterbelt was never really shown going for any underagae boy aside from Brief beyond the Sanitary Box special on his private life. this season had an entire episode about the male characters bonding & this was foreshadowed by Brief being the saddest about Garterbelt "dying" in the S1 finale. Would've been weird to show them become buddies if Garter kept doing that.
Again maybe I'm coping & the Kneesocks age thing was a fluke but "underage sexualization" (not even as a gag but as legit audience-appeal eroticism) definitely bothers people more than pedo priest jokes not even drawn in the fanservicey transformation style.

It's not like it's an actual "lesbian gets converted" story, it's literally slapstick and one stupid sex gag among a flood of stupid gags. If you wanna take it seriously then just say she was bisexual or whatever; but it doesn't matter because she's a gag mob character that only exists for 4 pages and doesn't reflect anything.
