Demons' whole shtick is dealing Chaos Damage that penetrates all armor types and fucks everyone up. The only way to balance that is make it so shit and nerfed that it doesn't matter, thus making it redundant. If they had good ideas, they would have implemented them dude. It's like with murloc/Naga faction in FT campaign. They are just reskins of other race's units, but many people people kept saying how they should have been officially added as a faction

Every single game is same. Heroes creep, farseer harass and waste time. Fast tier 2. Creep. Same timings.

Is the Dark Portal expansion for Warcraft II any good? I remember not liking vanilla Starcraft or Warcraft III all that much but thinking Brood War and The Frozen Throne being fantastic gameplay-wise. I'm just getting sick of starting every map on an island with like 2 Peons and having to farm a bunch of gold and then wood and then oil and then building ships just to get started on the objectives. I don't think anyone has ever thought this. There's very few RTS games where you will realistically hit the population cap in normal gameplay just by producing units that you're using. In the ones where you do, it's usually the result of a long game and naturally producing units, not trying to hit the population cap for its own sake.

Warcraft II had hero units; less sophisticated but still there. And as others have said, moba-esque custom games were already being experimented with in Starcraft. what fucking point are you even trying to make here? Fleshed out hero units were what made wc3's gameplay so unique. To this day there still isn't any other rts that would even do it like that (not a popular one anyway), and again, not like it would be a problem if there were at least a couple more. WC3 is still a micro intensive RTS, it didn't dumb down anything compared to WC2, there is nothing "negative" this game did
