That isn't to say the rich aren't preying on the week, but blindly butchering them just flips the cycle it doesn't resolve anything. Educating the dog people is not going to immediately fix the problem but education is the best for a long term stable reform of the system.

Louis and his group are clearly presented as violence is the only way, but take it to an extreme level which is as bad as the Church keeping the status quo. The protagonists try to avoid killing and playing by the rules until their backs are against the wall, but do accept by the end that some tearing down is required and some men can not be reasoned with without a blade.
