How many P Switch Missions have you completed in Mario Kart World so far?

Pros:

I played Mario Kart World for three hours and stopped because I hated the open world tracks ruining Grand Prix. Tried a Knockout on 150cc while going as fast as I could on rails and drifting, got 4th place. Tried again with auto steer, auto accelerate, auto item and motion controls, so I'm using literally 0 buttons, got 1st place. So the CPUs rubberband so hard that I can have an easier time beating the tracks pressing literally 0 buttons and not interacting with the mechanics. Why bother playing single player then?
Online sucks ass too, 24 players was a mistake.

Was playing through Pokémon Violet, finished part 2 of the DLC and found it so exhausting that I'm not fucking unlocking the epilogue, already uninstalled. Back to Mario Kart while I wait for my brother to try Gamechat streaming for Clubhouse games.

Might buy Bravely Default and considering grabbing vouchers for Mario & Luigi Brothership and a second copy of Smash Bros to have digitally for when I travel.

Honestly feeling a lot more digitally inclined this gen so Metroid Prime 4 might be the only physical game I buy this year.

I've been really enjoying it. Played for a few nights with my siblings and ended up collecting the required 3000 coins.

I got mine two weeks early from my pre-order somehow, so I upgraded Guardians of Azuma to the Switch 2 version.

It's a huge leap, it's actually crazy how fast and smooth it is and I was already enjoying the Switch 1 version. Graphics are much better too, which is nice.

Anyone having fun playing with a Pro Controller in tabletop mode? The 1080p screen makes the image crisp enough that I can play action-oriented games on the smaller screen while still keeping my PC screens unoccupied. It's very comfy

Is Fantasy Life i worth full price or wait for sale?

I played Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna today after adjusting display settings. It looked better. I didn't realize that after transferring my Switch data over it was still rendering at 720p. That adjustment in combination with my retrotink made the game look better.

I kind of want to replay XBC2, but fuck that game. At the very least you keep a good amount of progress with new game+.

I'm enjoying a lot of old games on the Switch 2. Never had a Switch 1. What I don't understand is why there isn't a blanket "enable docked mode for Switch 1 games on Switch 2 handheld mode." Clearly it would work fine and would remove the need for developer patches. Also despite what turbo-tards say you don't need special render pipelines for DLSS upscaling to work on a game. I force it in games all the time where it isn't present either through DLL injection via INI and a file drop or in the nvidia console/inspector. So Switch 2 can do it without the developer needing to do anything. Just need a consent screen so tendies know that the image may be unstable and so can the game as it isn't an official upscale.

I got a switch a number of years ago but only played one or two games on it. I'm thinking about getting more games such as Super Mario Odyssey for the Switch 2 due to the free fidelity upgrades. Do you guys think that's worth it over playing it at 4K 60 on my PC?

Kunitsugami is kinda cool. Were there any threads about it when it came out last year? I feel like I vaguely heard some good things about it but most reviews were saying how capcom should do more AA budget games but nothing about the gameplay itself. As someone who owns a Switch 2, I would say no. Unless you're looking to play on the go. That being said, I don't know all the games that got upgrades. I know there's a small list, but a few more games got upgrades since that list. The system is great if you already owned a bunch of Switch 1 games, but if you don't, it's up to your own discretion.

If you know you'll get a lot of use out of it and you have the disposable income I think it's worth it. I've emulated a shit ton of switch but honestly it's just nice for it to work perfectly and seamlessly on the hardware. Now that I got a switch 2 I'm just running them on that instead. Honestly I found playing single player and doing time trials reallt helped me get better at the game to the point where I didn't feel like a loser in every online race and felt I was actually pretty good.

Download the best time trials ghost in rankings and watch which paths they take and keep trying it yourself on the stages until you get much better at them. It really helped me get so much better at tje game.

Enjoying Mario Kart World. Done all cups and tours, so I basically just start it up occasionally if I want to do an online tour or want to drive around doing random shit while listening to a stream.
The Gamecube games are genuinely so fucking nice. Just unlocked Diamond cup by finishing the first three cups on Normal in F-Zero GX, and just entered the Forbidden Woods in Wind Waker. Both are fucking awesome. Very happy to finally be replaying WW.
I need to put more time into Bravely Default but am enjoying it so far, combat is really fun.
No Man's Sky ended up being the surprise hit for me. 6 hours played so far and it's honestly kind of satisfying as a portable game. It's a resource grind but there's a novelty to having that in a game of that scale on a portable. Been building up my first base to start preparing for travelling to newer galaxies more.
Played a bit of Pokemon Violet and it runs like a charm now but sadly I think I've not got that much else I can do since I already played it for 300 hours. I did get a shiny Iron Moth I wanna train though.

You can't craft ships but you can buy them. Base building is crafting though. The appeal is very Minecraft survival-like in that the goal is finding somewhere you like, building a base of your own design and filling it with useful tools/resource farms by going on journeys to find what you need. Eg yesterday I needed uranium so I flew to a radioactive planet to get some - on the way there I ran into a space pirate and shot them down for the reward.

I personally want to buy a freighter ship next but since that costs a lot, gonna just try and find rare resources and build my tech tree next.

For the current price, if you know what you're getting into I think it's worth it.

anniversary collection is the old games, more of platformers, unless you already know you will like those style of games theres really only one on there worth playing. Advance would probably be the best place to start since it has Aria one of the best ones and its sequel is in the Dominus collection. Some indirectly got upgraded/fixed, some are just way worse, it's all over. Shiren 5 is finally at native res on handheld, for example and some games load way faster. Some games like Pikmin 3 have a bunch of graphics glitches and some have weird physics glitches/don't run quite right.

Think Mario Kart World is pretty fun so far. Haven’t played online yet since I’m still getting used to all the new mechanics. Played about 5-6 hours so far.
Noticed to some games seem to run better on it. Well, only tried one so far, and it definitely doesn’t slow down as much or is as laggy as it was on Switch 1.
Only have one Switch 2 game so far. Maybe I’ll buy the new Tamagotchi game at the end of the month. And maybe the new Donkey Kong game if that ends up being good.

Since release, I've mostly been playing Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Final Bar Line which I have mixed feelings about compared to Curtain Call on the 3DS. Nice difficulty and QOL settings, but also soulless and unlocks everything way too easily. Looks good handheld and docked.
I also want to 100% Kirby Star Allies because I'm a Kirbyfag, but it's really one of the weakest entries and the UI looks aliased in handheld mode; haven't played it docked yet.

We will see more of this in the future. The Series S is a fucking weird system which should be better than a Switch 2 but it just isn't cause of its weird bottlenecks. Developers fucking hate making games for that thing while every dev who had access to a devkit is praising the Switch 2 for its capabilities and hardware. I really like how Mario Kart World looks and plays. I think the presentation and "liveliness" is really great and the HDR looks amazing.

I just got the GameCube controller in the mail and it feels really fucking good. As always though with Nintendo some weird decisions were made. They should have made ZL just be like the z button on the other side instead of a tiny little button. Also no minus button for some reason. That makes it work with less games overall. I thought it didn't have rumble but it does which is nice. The dpad is much better feeling even if it's tiny. The gyro is a good touch too. Why they bothered to add gyro and not the minus button is just strange. Will be using it on PC with dolphin later.

I finally took a look at the new Mario Kart and holy shit... now I understand why so many people are complaining. It has less to do with the game itself, and more to do with that thing of mid-races between tracks in the Grand Prix mode. That's a total buzzkill.
I'm sure Nintendo realized this at some point, but didn't want to throw away all that work and decided to take a risk and see how the public would accept it, but you can be 100% sure that soon there will be an update where you have Grand Prix without the mid-races, and 99.9% of players will choose that, because the difference is too big.
You go from an 8/10 game if it were traditional to a 5/10 because of the mid-races.

The immediately noticeable difference is the edge that rests on your palm/thumb is no longer completely smooth. It has a corner along the top, not sure how that affects comfort though since I just got mine. SL and SR buttons are twice as wide so that's nice for out-of-the-box 2-player. Yeah, the current system worked well for tiny sized games like the SNES or GBA library but in a few years the thing will have like 40 Gamecube games which would mean 50-60 GB just to keep those on your Switch. Not to mention that a Wii emulator will probably come as well considering how similar the hardware is compared to the Gamecube.
