>tfw legitimately thinking about the game during work all day today
I wanna play it again

Is /v/ gonna have any preferred lobby settings? Like are we gonna stuck with the 4-choice after City Trial or change that?
One thing I've never seen addressed in the AI discussion, is that the thing that makes this different from other technological advancements is that no one understands it. Not in the "it's too complex for normies to get" way, I mean that AI literally isn't understandable even by the people who made it because it takes multiple pieces of information and experience and applies them in ways that aren't measurable.

>AI is just complex learning models
>even the people who make them fundamentally can't say they know absolutely how it works, because it learned on its own to find a way that worked
>in other words it is inherently obfuscated, there is simply a gap in knowledge that literally no one can answer
>people are trying to put this in everything
>everything will therefore have a layer of obfuscation that no one can explain or understand, not even subject matter experts
>they want us to use it for most things in our daily lives
This seems like a bad idea on a fundamental level.

For every other technological advancement in human history if you had some catastrophic error, you would be able to find a subject matter expert who can explain it down to every fact. You can't for this.
Hardware wise it is 100% just a better Switch, there's nothing "new" with it, but also that's all it really needed to be. Switch 1 was pretty feature complete and didn't need expanding on.

So far I've bought
>Mario Kart World (pretty good, generally good tracks and has what you want out of a Mario Kart + a neat open world that is fun to fuck around in, I think it would really have benefited from some sort of post-launch support, not even track DLC or anything, just something like themed events would be nice).
>Bravely Default (other JRPGs took my focus, but I've enjoyed it so far, it feels like a pretty 1:1 port from what I remember of the original, no complaints)
>Pokemon Legends Z-A (if you can get over the flat looking city, the gameplay changes are a really fun experiment for the series, it feels very different and actually exploring the city is cool as its designed very densely, Switch 2 version is nice as it runs at a clean 60fps and at 4k when docked)
>also been playing some of my Switch backlog (Tsukihime Remake, World of Horror, Taiko Rhythm Adventure, Metroid Prime Remastered) on it and had fun with those

The GameCube collection has been huge for me as well. I've done a full playthrough of Wind Waker (just under 40 hours) and unlocked the AX tracks in F-Zero GX (also got about 40 hours in that). Excited for Luigi's Mansion next week

Will be buying Kirby Air Riders and Metroid Prime 4 and Fire Emblem as well
I've been playing a lot of the classics games, currently trying to unlock the AX tracks in F-Zero GX. Done everything except beat the cups on Master mode, which I've done for the first cup so far.

I also noticed recently that the Pokemon Legends Z-A Switch 2 bundle on the store is dumb

>basic Switch version of the game is £49.99
>upgrade to Switch 2 is £7.99
>total is £57.98
>bundle to just buy them both together for convenience is £58.99
>the bundle doesn't include anything else, it's literally just meant to be the "buy both together" option, but they made it cost £1 more
Why would they do this

Varies by game. Primarily three types

- Games with free upgrade patches (Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening etc) - these run considerably better with higher frame rates and resolutions. The difference is typically very meaningful
- Games with paid upgrade patches (Mario Party Jamboree, Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom etc) - these also run considerably better with higher frame rates and resolutions, however to access the enhanced performance you'll need to buy an upgrade pack. These paid ones typically also include Switch 2 exclusive content (eg new modes in Jamboree)
- Games with no patches. These may or may not perform better. They'll run at the same resolution, but if they struggled to reach their frame rate cap before, they may be able to brute force it now. Loading should be better also. How much this has an impact varies by game, but either way don't expect miracles.
Intentional to keep you coming back to the service and to make the service seem as if its getting new content regularly.

I think a better question is some of the stuff that is missing. All those Microsoft/Rare games and no Diddy Kong Racing style? No Smash 64? Should we expect no Melee for the same reason? Then there's the question of the Pokemon RPGs. They went out of their way to make them compatible with the modern games on 3DS which is why I think it makes sense why we haven't seen the GB/GBA Pokemon RPGs. The GameCube RPGs are a weird side thing that wasn't developed by Game Freak themselves so I wouldn't be surprised if those don't have any sort of connectivity to Home, but it would be nice if they did.

And then the BIG big question is if we'll ever see Animal Crossing
>these Diamond cup tracks in F-Zero GX
These are fucked, I love 'em
