I was itching for an open world survival crafting game, i made a thread here and nobody recommended palworld. I have to say, i was sleeping on this game. It's actually really relaxing, the visuals are great, the gameplay is good, overall a very good experience. Play Palworld

Good base building, good exploration, good progression that gives you a variety of weapons and armor to work with but doesn't feel bloated having half a dozen tiers or more of stuff. Solo is fine although it's better to play with at least one other person, it may be a struggle completing the end of the game solo. The player characters will talk with eachother too which is a fun little detail.

I think the exploration is my favorite part of Grounded the world is well made, lots of hidden areas and goodies to find.

Agreed, I'm glad that new building materials are being added but we really need more unique building pieces to work with like fences and whatnot. I've seen so many people stack benches as makeshift fences for so long you'd think those would be added sooner.

It's a pretty good game and the devs seem to be adding content at a good pace, with the third large expansion coming out sometime this summer. There's alternatative pal summon and glider restoration mods to restore the features they took out from nintendo's lawfare. Building options are kind of weak right now and the later game gets grindy for solo play, though world options can fix that.

I want them to make endgame more fluid. It's a lot of micromanaging and juggling with no way tospeed it up. If you could queue your expeditions to run infinitely, if you could stack items to 1mil and increase the amount you can craft in tables. Have the new tiers of items be "Dense" versions of old ores (1000 ores and 100 coal makes one dense ingot) instead of another new type, so there's a reward for going through the effort of minmaxing your base.

Hardly. The only two things Palworld changed were Pals being summoned by throwing a sphere (they show up next to you) and holding onto Pals while gliding (you now see a glider, and non pal gliders already existed in the game). Both are fixed or partially fixed with mods.

At Pocketpair removing allegedly patented content, but this really isn't that uncommon on patent lawsuits in general to be fair. Getting rid of the features in question beforehand both makes the plaintiff have less ammo to use against you in court, and shows you in a good light to the judge and jury, that you want to sort it out as easily as possible instead of dragging it out in court, which tends to be important when your opponent has significantly more financial backing than you do.

Water is wet, etc. Japan's court systems don't have a 99% conviction rate because the system is somehow extremely efficient, but because it works in such a way that if you're accused of something, you're better off just pleading guilty instead of going through the hell that is their prosecution process, the whole thing is rotten to the core. Same concept here, they stop at nothing to keep their golden goose industries happy, and Nintendo is very much one of those, they get their way regardless of who's in the right. The best Pocketpair can do here is what they're already doing: play the good boy act and try to get the judges to dismiss as many of Nintendo's claims as possible before the case enters the courts.

The game is easy enough to pirate, and only like 10 gigabytes. Just make sure it's patch 1.4 or later
