Now that I think about it, you could do a pretty convincing fake in a PC game
> Create a generic "person at a desk" 3D scene.
> Dark enough that there's no clear details (PC player is probably playing in low light)
> Detect the size and relative position of the player's monitors (possible on most OSs)
> Lay 3D monitors according to that information.
> Take a screenshot of the entire desktop (again, pretty easy)
> Put that on the monitors
> Make the game camera low-res, with fake video encoding, to hide the lack of detail
> Have it move toward the "player" from behind with mo-capped handheld movement
