Two things:
1) It's too skinny to apply pressure to both vertebrae that would separate a connection in your neck, so it would never have worked. You need a thicker rope/cable and a thick knot as well.
2) Also you shouldn't kill yourself. I had a friend that hung himself. Finding the body really mentally fucked my other friend up for years. Peaks in Chapter 2, but every single one of them has things you could listen to for hours.

I'm a bit concerned about how December and Asriel are going to fit in the story by the end of it because I both find them kind of reminiscent of Asriel in Undertale where he has prominence throughout the story in a sense through the whole thing, but you only actually see him at the end and then he's used as part of the game's climax. That didn't really work for me in Undertale and I didn't care about him, I feel like if December or Asriel show up as themselves at the end and end up being a big part of the ending, it might not land for me. I do think Deltarune has a much better story than Undertale so far though so I'd like to give it the benefit of the doubt, but it is a concern I have.

It's not really surprising at all, Kris and Susie are the main characters and the relationships between the three main characters are the emotional core of the game. Scenes like Kris and Susie at the diner are far more memorable than anything with Noelle and Susie. I don't even particularly care about the romance aspect of it, but the relationship between Noelle and Susie just doesn't have much to it, it's just a lot of them dancing around being upfront with their feelings while stuff with Susie and Kris feels like a deeper bond with the added element of it having that sad but sweet aspect of them both being outcasts who found each other, even if nobody else wanted them.

The line when you look in the mirror with Susie next to you alone makes a deeper impact of the relationship they have than the entire scene at Noelle's house makes for Noelle and Susie.
