Tbh I got kind of bored halfway through act 2 but it was a good game, I think gaming is just boring in general now because everything aims for mediocre. This game was not that good but no one has been able to improve on any of the formulas for 20 years so we just get rehashes of the same things over and over.

It's amazing how much of COE33's reputation was purely manufactured before the game was even launched. More amazing still was how many retards ate it up without ever considering whether it was true or not.
Unironcally, it's what Squaresoft did with Final Fantasy VII all over again by propping it up as "the Hollywood of vidya" and no one questioned it.

Is it really necessary to make a bait OP to talk about a game these days?

This game is pure boomer cope but looks interesting enough for a non-action rpg, way more so than like a dragon, persona, metaphor, etc I’ll pick it up over the holidays when physical copies arent hard to buy

Cool game but I got bored on my 2nd playthrough, you figure out the patterns of the enemies and then you are unkillable, enemies have bloated health pools on hard so everything takes forever or you use some 1-shot cheese builds, poorly balanced/designed game.

I enjoyed the story. The actual gameplay itself sucked shit and I'm glad it became so trivially easy I could just one-hit kill everything for 120 million damage and completely railroad everything. Got it on game pass and deleted it the moment I saw Verso's ending. Never even bothered seeing Maelle's ending where I'm sure she just repaints everything to be her little utopia.

It's a single player game, it can be completely beaten and solved in a month, all the lore, discussion and content is dried. It was fun while it lasted.

For perspective Gachashit and LoL have had threads up 24/7 on /vg/ for +10 years

Why did they play a part of une vie a rever in the credits for Verso's ending? For Maelle's it plays Maelle which makes sense, but that isn't Verso's theme, it's Painted Alicia's theme. Every other time it plays in the game it's about her (the stinger in the act 1 finale, the letter cutscene in act 2, that part of the Reacher and the Painted Love boss).
It's a good song and wasn't used in its entirety but still, weird choice. Should've played a different arrangement of his theme instead.

If you didn't understand they were in a painting by the end of the prologue, you're a speedreader.
If you didn't understand they were in a painting after Act I, you lack the basic puzzle solving ability to decipher what the antagonists were explicitly saying.
If you didn't figure it out part way through Act II, then you're retarded.
If you got through the epilogue and thought the twist was "They're all fake" then I have to wonder who solved the capcha for you.
