i like the style and the music that tells the story seems great. but the combat looks bland and traversal looks like a shitty rehash of nu-tomb raider/uncharted climbing sections. if i ever get a free key i will give it a go, but otherwise will not go out of my way for it.

You pretty much nailed it. It's an incredibly unremarkable, by the numbers adventure game. Same dev as We Happy Few. Their artists can cobble together an interesting setting, but they have no idea how create a compelling game out of it.
