Both Sekiro and AC6 have weird things going on though.
AC6 has the Coral/Adrenachrome subtext and Sekiro seems like it's got an MkUltra aspect aimed at westerners with it's Activision funding.

The ending is pretty clear, you are literally told the black hole will allow them to teleport (FTL travel) away, then you are shown multiple redlike color far in the sky.
If Coral was capable of FTL travel across the galaxy on their own, they would already have spread everywhere.
Since Mankind is barely even capable of recognizing Coral as sentient (and some would hide it to exploit it anyway if they knew), the only solution is to force them to realize it is.

Besides, ALL-MIND objective was making a hive-mind of everyone, compounded by the fact that one autist managed to jam Ayree only way to participate in the battle. So the only risk Mankind face is itself.

It's shit, but it's extreme (if your definition is adding tons of shit most of which hardly fits) and the first mission has more enemies than vanilla has you kill throughout the entire first chapter
I tried the default mod and most of the "variants" are diablo tier garbage like "-20% damage but damage converted to shock" or "regens 4hp/s" that just bloats the shop and inventory screen to oblivion, so maybe try the version from nexus without the variants. I also only beat the first chapter on NG before quitting, so I have no idea if the extremely modified bosses that shoot 500 lasers like it's a Newtype Mobile Armor make it to the game proper or are locked into the training mode

With shit like Ayre talking about you betraying dreams together despite never talking about them before hand and Rusty calling you friends with no justification besides helping you kill a robot. And that's without getting into shit like how stupid it is that every important administrative role is held by a mech pilot to save on characters, how every pilot is useless when perfect emulations of them that can be put in a store bought armored core exist, or how armored cores are basically worthless compared to the orbital lasers which are logically portrayed as the vastly super weapon.
