I remember seeing in a dream that I can rotate a paper in the inventory and the text of the paper is on it on the other side.
I kept trying to do it and my kid brain couldnt figure it out no matter what button I pressed. I didnt think to even touch the right joystick. anyway I thought it was just a dream and wrote it off as deja vu. imagine my shock when a decade later I learnt you can in fact rotate the inventory, its actually expected so you dont have to brute force the claw puzzles. my retarded ass looked up the claw puzzle answers on gamefaqs.

I actually did have to look up how to do it since the game never explained you can rotate items in your inventory. I thought the clues were on the walls or something.

There's that one puzzle with the 4 rotating pillars that also has hints right next to it but the hints don't make sense, so you have to brute force it or look up the answer.
