I kinda like how the game's main "secrets" are given clearer hints one chapter late. You'll never find out Jevil exists unless you specifically go to his floor, but Spamton NEO is very easy to face because his instructions are so simple, and then Seam blatantly tells you that you missed something in a previous chapter. The weird route is properly hinted at in Mantle, Chapter 2's "room in between" is arguably the easiest to discover, etc.
Did anyone else think there was gonna be an actual fire in the church what with the extinguisher build up and everything? Starting to bring real world tragedies into the mix while dark world shit is happening better be an actual end game...

I ended up managing to beat the first board without getting the croissant. That seems like it would completely break Round 2 so I assume they give you it anyways? I was trying to get Z rank because that's what I got for the boss fight trying to kill them, but somehow did too good at the cooking game despite only barely running out the clock and ended up with C overall so I restarted. It doesn't let you just stand there and fail. After 9 losses he just starts repeating lines.
I'm upset he didn't make good on his promise about the paid actor even if it would have just been a one off joke and never mentioned again.

at the end of the game, Ralsei will ask Kris to seal his fountain and thus ending the dark world forever. Kris will keep his physical form (the horns) as a memento and live his now calm life with Susie, you know this WILL happen. do NOT get attached to Ralsei.

Undertale and Deltarune don't work without the gameplay. The reactive writing is one of it's largest strengths and there's many story elements tied directly to game mechanics and the concept of player choice which cannot work in other mediums.
