Better combat. Maybe different stances like Rise of the Ronin/Nioh has. The current combat style is fine but could be a bit more responsive and tighter.

Before the schizo comes in, answer my (legitimate) question: is there a delay to the button inputs? When I’m holding in L1 and roll my thumb to O to dodge, I always end up using a special movie. I NEVER had that issue in Demon’s/Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Elden Ring, Lies of P, Nioh 1/2, First Berserker Khazan, Mortal Shell, The Surge 1/2, Lords of the Fallen Good/Bad, or Hellpoint. But if you take Adam's hand, you replace Adam as Mother Sphere's target and the war continues, even if Fusion EVE seems undefeatable. You should be aggressive, use your combos and skills. It's not a game to be standing around waiting for your moment to strike, just go head on and be reactionary. Parrying is more viable than dodging, but dodging can be needed depending on the enemy's move. You get the colored indications for that.

You reach the great desert by going down an elevator in Xion, Matrix 11 is in the great desert and Adam has 0 issues landing there but when you actually go to the desert suddenly the sandstorm is a problem. Dodging is too inconsistent (unless it's that special teleporting dodge move you can do sometimes when an enemy does a special attack, always do that one), just parry. Get the upgrade to make perfect parry easier and get all the upgrades for beta gain rate. Then get all the upgrades for your favorite beta move and spam that. Triplet is my favorite. Be aggressive.

Xion is the main reason I sided with Adam, because he wanted a future for both species and Mother Sphere only wanted it for one, and one she was in dominion over. She didn't even know Xion existed down there, with Andro-Eidos suffering and scavenging for a meagre living. Adam came to see that Andro-Eidos do have humanity, but lack biology to evolve, while the Naytiba have the latter but have lost the former, a fusion is a potential way forward.

I don't think fuse is the canon ending. The ending where eve fights adam has more setup for a continuation of the story. The fight with Adam is not black and white, she doesn't believe in mother sphere but feels she has to end this fight.

It's not the standard action game, you expect a hit that takes 20% of your health to knock you back, Stellar Blade doesn't do that, it leaves you on that same spot so you can parry the next move, if you don't then that's another 20% of your health gone and you STILL don't get pushed back.
It's a special kind of parryslop focused gameplay that you don't expect from an action game.

This was the first DLC to truly piss me off.
