Not really. The game has got a great main campaign but after you get the third ending, all you have left for replayibility are
1. Getting all S rank
2. Log hunt (if you didn't do it already)
3. PvP(if your a masochist)
S ranks in particular can range from too easy too absolut bullshit like that stage where you need to kill the invisible enemies as fast as possible or the fucking prison ship escort. Calling it "game of the century" is a stretch.

Replayibility has everything to do with a game. Collectathons like Banjo Kazooie would be shit if there was nothing to look for. Linear speed running games like Sonic Generations would suck ass if they weren't multiple routes to get to the goal and players had to use their brains to figure out which route is the fastest. A video game should be like an actual game, where even after you finish it, you should be able to pick it up again and have fun replaying the game differently.

The game's pretty amazing, and I'm glad you got the final ending. I played this at launch and the build was a little different, but same. Really there was easier ways to cheese and get cheesed on by bosses. Really does feel like the last game in the past few years that really went all out and delivered the best performance possible.

If I had fun playing the game, it was worth the price. The only games I bother to replay are exceptionally short ones, if a game is 30 hours or longer I won't even consider playing it a second time (except maybe a couple years later if it's REALLY good) because I have more games to play or just other better things to do in general. I guess I get it if you're a teenager and your parents will only buy you one or two games per year, but if you're an adult with a full time non-minimum-wage job I don't get the need for milking hundreds of hours out of every single game with autistically obsessive replaying.

What kind of hyperbole is that? I got over 150 hours out of it and barely touched PvP. The customization always keeps AC games fresh when you revisit them. It could have had more mission variety sure but acting like it's short in any way is nuts.
The content is does have is rich, a lot of modern games can take a lot to 100% but are utter dogshit to complete since they are so repetitive.

Great single-player action mecha game. Is it as good as the older titles? I'd say yes since every single previous Armored Core game had 10 times the jank. That being said, I hope they never fucking bring back stagger for AC vs AC ever again, along with the gay mechanic that makes you unable to deal any damage with some weapons at longer ranges.
Also the PvP is awful, genuinely. It's fun for a bit, but it's ruined the moment you meet anyone using whatever is "meta". For me, Mecha Break is looking to be the way to go for a faster paced PvP mecha game.

Will be less customized now because they removed mods for the PvP and have them now locked to their extraction br mode. On one hand it's a good thing since that means you won't go against a fag who has le super mods while you don't, but as a result it means you can't tune the Mechs to your preferences anymore in normal PvP.

Just equip karasawa if you get stuck. It has very good damage potential (ammo x damage per shot) your other issue is that you might not be good at moving yet. If you're still stuck on cheesing with tanks with full grenade set ups it's a skill diff.

Also when you take a closer look at the PCA tank its an MT between the treads. No idea why it has legs but that just adds to the AC over the top charm.

I don't know if it's still true, but early AC lore suggested that MTs/ACs stayed mostly humanoid because it was easier for pilots to control as they would feel their machine's movements. If that's still the case, it'd make sense to make the MT portion of the Balteus to be humanoid for a human pilot. Same for the Cataphract.

Strapping a bunch of extra shit onto an existing platform is probably easier than making an entire new vehicle. Or it allows them use familiar control schemes and whatever other tracer technology they use.

A lot of people ask "why don't they just use their mecha tech on tanks or jets?" but forgot this might be what that looks like, if the tech in any way works better with this form.

I fully believe 4->5->6 is still a consistent storyline. ORCA or whoever in the fuck was somehow successful in "colonizing the stars", VD was the aftermath of the apocalypse of earth, 6 is a long after affect of humanity expanding beyond earth.
