I don't think it's yet successful enough to warrant a BUNCH of clones. But even if it was, it would still be 3-5 years from today, for any studio, Chink or anyone else, to get the investment, create the team/studio, and then bring their SB clone to market.

What difficulty are you on? I'm playing on medium and I feel like I'm brute forcing bosses and playing like an ape. You have multiple heal items to use and can take a lot of damage from the boss. I think the biggest thing that helps me is just dashing away and running around when the boss uses their huge fatal combo chains rather than trying to figure out which direction I'm supposed to dodge.

That's my issue. I haven't played any souls like since DS2 and I ran dark magic before it was nerfed. The closest thing I've played was Nier replicant but I don't think that counts. learn your moves dammit, not all combos are built equally. 4 light in a row sucks. on the other hand something like heavy light light heavy is quite good. certain other combos have utility, like heavy light hold light heavy dashing at the end after a jump back, and light light heavy heavy having a dash at the end. beta chain is just an ability which lets you use one beta energy to make the last move of a combo glow red and will stun enemies out of most things and give you the time to actually finish your combo safely and start something else. as for beta skills, just level one up all the way. i recommend the shield breaker, followed by the spin, both are nice.

Congrats! Looks like it finally clicked for you. And while you do not need anymore help with the fight, I did notice somethings that will probably help you with future fights.

1. Stop using Slash in boss fights. That's an Area of Effect attack and is best used against mobs of smaller enemies. For boss fights, instead use Shield Break (to break enemy shields), Shock Wave for a ranged attack, and Triplet with is the best single-target Beta Skill. In particular, Triplet becomes very useful as you can take off a single unit of an enemy's Balance (Yellow Diamond) as you upgrade the skill.

2. When the enemy glows Red, lean into its attacks. The Red glow means the enemy is about to swing at you a bunch of times, which means you can parry them a bunch of times, which means you can deplete their Balance faster. The Red glow is an opportunity and you want to take it.

That's the way I played it. I would focus on removing Boss Shields with Shield Breaker then use Triplet a lot, especially after you can upgrade it take off a single unit of Balance every time you pull it off.
