He's correct, a Nintendo system is usually babies first console. It was usually the cheapest console, had the most kid friendly games, and the Game Boy/DS lines were perfect for shutting kids up in the car before they all had ipads with Minecraft on them.

It's objectively the console for kids but that doesn't mean adults can't also enjoy it.

the reason to own a PS5 would only be because of some third party titles that would likely ALL be on PC or other consoles eventually if not already (Stellar Blade, Final Fantasy, Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, Silent Hill F). meanwhile Nintendo is able to make good games and also actually get good third party games to release on their consoles. Sony isn’t releasing any good first party games and pretentious movie games are less mature and less fun than Mario, Kirby, and Pokémon.
