I know of this guy from some of his mmo reviews, and he seems more thorough than your typical games journalist. If he stopped giving games a fair shake, and is quitting during the tutorial I guess that's bad.

Though to be fair some games suck ass, and should be quit in the first ten minutes if even picked up at all.

Onboarding new players should be something online games strive to facilitate. Deciding to start playing an MMO and within 30 minutes having to tab out to look up stuff on a 3rd party site is not good. While some may push through and continue, for many its a quitting point.
