No such thing as a "real job". People who utter such nonsense are tools.
A job is what gets you paid, it doesn't matter how frivolous or inconsequential of a job you're doing, it all has its place in society.
What they want it to mean is blue / white collar shit, where you offer your physical presence and effort for menial, repetitive tasks.
It's fine and respectable being a cog in the machine, otherwise society would collapse, but them pretending like you're a worse person because you don't contribute to society is just ramblings of an idiot. They think themselves special, doing something that every human in existence has been capable of doing. They don't have the skill or intelligence to pursue higher purpose, so they try to bring you down to their level.
They think that since you're not part of the workforce, you're doing so because you can't, but they'll never understand that it's bcause you won't, and you shouldn't. You have more important things to do in this life than live hand to mouth, slaving away to further someone else's goals.
