You aren’t in a simulation.

The entire basis of simulation theory relies on a statistical argument that is contradictory to itself. The argument goes like this:

If a civilization becomes capable of creating conscious simulations, it could generate so many simulated simulations that a randomly chosen conscious entity would almost certainly be in a simulation. The number of simulations would far exceed base reality and we would therefore almost certainly be living in one.

The problem is, if each simulation in turn makes another simulation, they would all have the ability to do it, so why don’t we have the capability to do it right now?

Let’s say there’s a 100 simulations so far. You can expect 99 of those simulations to have access to its owns simulations. If you end up in a simulation without current access, then you are in simulation number 100. Now scale this to the trillions.

What are the chances you exist in the one simulation out of trillions without the ability to create its own simulations? The statistical odds of us existing in the one simulation without the ability to create a new simulation almost certainly means we aren’t in a simulation.

So the entire reasoning for the simulation hypothesis can be used to nullify it. We aren’t in one

Of course it is an assumption, once again why does each simulation have to start with the ability/knowledge of creating other simulations? Perhaps the point of the simulation is to get to that point, the singularity where they are able to create simulations and therefore continue the chain of nested simulations.

You're affirming a set of rules for a reality that we don't even understand. If there is a simulation, we have no idea of the purpose behind that simulation

It's NOT a simulation, idiot. It's a microcosm of one reality and a macrocosm of another. This makes it seem like a simulation but "simulation" implies that one reality is somehow more real and others are not. You think this because of personal bias and hierarchal brainwashing.
