My prediction is that 0.3 will feel like what 0.1 was supposed to be. Basically I think it will still be imbalanced (there is no way the right side of the tree doesn't see a rework at some point soon) but I think that number of viable builds will be higher due to support gem changes and provided it is not 50% deadeye people will play more ascendancies. I think the game will have enough to do that it won't feel unacceptably bare, but still will have room for a lot more.
Basically still unfinished but an actual foundation to work from. I think we'll look back at the state of 0.1 and 0.2 as rather grim.

Poison and Freeze really don't combo especially well. Poison wants physical and chaos. Freeze wants cold and elemental. There are bonuses on the passive tree that improve "non-damaging ailments" like chill and freeze. For Amazon you're best off focusing on pure elemental freeze stuff.

When you combine it with the fact that now you can double up on your support gems and there will be lots of new skills and talents, it probably was a necessity to tune down some parts.

all the warrior complaining is based around the idea that with enough armour and max res you can't die to anything. it's a poe1 HC SSF mindset.

an elemental hit that matters barely doesn't kill you, so let's say it deals 2500 damage after 75% resists. That means the damage before resists is around 10k damage.

You're off but let's pretend you're not. A 70k armour build (very realistic for a character with a shield with scavenged plating up) will mitigate 40% of that damage before resists, assuming 100% effectiveness of armour.

This is where you're wrong. Your armour effectiveness against elemental damage can and will be raised above 100%, because it will come from multiple sources (tree, gear, socketables). 200% is already possible (but probably not optimal due to shit chest).
On top of that, you can equip goregirdle and double your armour effectiveness, which will make tanking small hits shittier but tanking big hits much, much better.
On top of this, 70k armour is lowballing considering we're getting extra socketables and extra quality on gear.
