The combat is really good once you get the flow of things especially boss fights because they're relentless in their hits. If elden ring or any fromslop is "a 10" this game is a 15. Story is decent customizable character is fun, exploration and combat are top tier especially compared to most modern games. Adding a few more weapons would have been nice but all in all it is a fantastic game.

HOWEVER if you're using frame gen there is a very very noticeable input delay I tried it to push for 240+ FPS but just settled for 144 it's genuinely really bad when the heavy character movement gets bogged down by real input delay.

That's not really the issue we're talking about anon. The issue is if you press L1, the input's held longer than ideal and results in situations like you trying to parry and then counter with a triangle or square and instead using a beta skill (which is press L1 then one of the other mentioned buttons)
This doesn't happen on KBM though. I know because once I saw this happening I decided to test it on Scarlet and with a KBM the parry input is far more clean and releases as it should. Any fuck up was my own. Mind you game still plays better with controller, but still.

Liked DMC5 but its fucking crazy how they dropped the ball on the missipn design. I think the only puzzle in that entire game was the dante level inside qliphoth. So disappointing compared to 3.
