DICE pulled an unironic "we want the COD audience" and unfortunately succeeded. Almost every long-time Battlefield player I've seen talking about it call it a fun shooter but with reservations about the speed, lack of tactical/team gameplay, and the small size and cramped layouts of the maps while COD players are deepthroating it like their life depends on it because they've forgotten how it feels to play a shooter that takes itself seriously.
