Are people really that impressed by the Battlefield 6 Beta? I put in 30 hours and I thought it was lame as fuck. Not a single "Battlefield moment". All the highlights from clips channels I've seen were extremely mid compared to previous Battlefields. I genuinely dont get the hype about this lame ass game

Why the hell do we even need le heckin' bifflefelf moments? Just play the fucking game. Especially after such a disaster that 2042 was and still is. I thought every time I went back to 2042 it would improve slightly but it's still as shit as I remember it. In terms of the actual feeling of play it's in the top BFs for sure. The overall gameplay is probably left up more to what you'd like more in BF. For people that just want large conquest maps this will be the worst entry by far.

It felt like I was playing call of duty, it was not battlefield at all. All the maps were tiny and boring. Classes don't mean anything anymore because everyone can have every gun pretty much. Only good thing I have to say about it is the dragging mechanic while reviving and the vehicle turret speed being limited and vehiclefags having to go and rearm. Other than that it was very boring and lackluster.

It's a real game at the very least. What is the biggest online shooter that isn't free to play? The bar is indeed low so battlefield passes just by existing. Until it eventually adds f2p battle royal mode. Then we go back to Splatoon being biggest online shooter that isn't tainted by f2p cancer.

"battlefield moment" is the most reddit phrase in the existence of gaming. Battlefield players used to gloat about killing campers by just leveling the buildings they're camping in. Fast forward to BF6 and the game restricts you from even entering any of the buildings or getting on the rooftops because the destruction is nonexistent.

I agree, but I also think it's bad that we care about that. Most gaming memes are pure cringe, but they do mean something for the people in that group. Is it a coincidence that the cringing meta came with games feeling like they are tossing "too much soul away" in favor of mass appeal?

The whole idea of battlefield, going back as far as 1942 was pretty much "go anywhere, do anything".

What made the game fun was a lack of restrictions. Fly, walk, use a boat, flank left, flank right, go straight through.

I have absolutely no idea what you're babbling about. I had 0 issues getting on roofs or destroying buildings in the bf6 beta, it has way more destruction than the last few games.

You could only blow the walls of some buildings. Nothing was actually able to get leveled. 3 out of the 4 maps didn't allow you to access rooftops without glitches and they even said that was not intended and they'll be adding more invisible walls. Enjoy your corridor slop.

I had a bunch of battlefield moments. A lot of them were hiding near a point after hearing an armored vehicle approaching and getting them with C4 but there were some defib and rocket hijinx as well. I am actually happy I'm not stuck with a certain weapon type if I switch to another class and the maps were acceptable to me. My memory betrays me but conquest is a lot different than the main 'hold more points than your opponents' mode from BF2 so it doesn't make sense the maps aren't like dragon valley or shit. If you lost tickets exponentially with fewer capture points than your opponents, those big maps would have sucked.

ever since modern combat, battlefield has just been a shitty meat grinder game. modern combat was a weird middle ground, but once arma came out, they realized they got mogged and just doubled down on the meat grinder aspects. battlefield as a series proceed to commit to moving away from arma stuff like large open maps, roaming squad coordination, filling up vehicles together and going on missions type stuff, (which arma clearly mogged them in).

occasionally only having breathes of uniqueness and life here and there, like bad companies destruction and tone, hardline's genuinely interesting approach to cops and robbers and their open city structured maps, but otherwise, this series sucks cock and you spawn and die then spawn again and there is very little room for interesting player expression, escalation, nothin, just meat grinder. over and over and over

This. I used to play the shit out of BF2 and 2142 and recently decided to try BF1 because it was super cheap on sale and people praise it. I was bored out of my goddamn mind. Small urban/desert maps, limited vehicles, just same grind in the same bottlenecks over and over.

DICE pulled an unironic "we want the COD audience" and unfortunately succeeded. Almost every long-time Battlefield player I've seen talking about it call it a fun shooter but with reservations about the speed, lack of tactical/team gameplay, and the small size and cramped layouts of the maps while COD players are deepthroating it like their life depends on it because they've forgotten how it feels to play a shooter that takes itself seriously.

The only positive change is the cracker ass COD babies who abused the movement in Beta 2 made it so that the devs started to penalise movement like that.
Aka you can't slide jump slide for fast movement anymore and if you jump your accuracy is greately reduced.

Battlefield 6 is so much better than 4 that it makes it difficult to go back to BF4 while waiting for the release. I got bored so quickly in Vehiclefield 4 being unable to do anything while infantry other than be a "bot" for vehicle campers to feed their ego. There is no teamplay in BF4 compared to 6.

about the only thing I like in BF6 is that vehicles aren't as OP as in 2042, although jets seem impossible to take down with lock-on AA, though at least they don't seem to have infinite flares that last for 10 seconds like 2042. I was trying to take down a jet with the lock-on AA yesterday, the jet triggered flares, I reloaded and took a few seconds to lock on again, he just popped flares again. actual ragefuel with how fast they recharged.
