Mediamarkt here confirmed that they got no stock left in Germany and once the next shipment gets confirmed those will only get sent out August or so.

The last time a console had a major hardware flaw at launch was the 360/PS3 which is nearly 20 years ago, massive price drops are also a thing of the past so no real point in waiting for that. The software is also probably the strongest launch lineup Nintendo has ever had honestly, upgraded Switch 1 titles and a big first party title pretty much every month is not bad at all.
