Mostly an issue with how every animation that Eve uses is rigged to her skeleton. So making a Lily compatible skeleton would require rigging a completely new set of animations just for her alone. As someone who has done some low level rerigging mods, it's extremely tedious to do. Not impossible mind you, but it would require a really dedicated modder.

This is something I'd like them to change in the sequel. More than a few times I stumbled across points of interest that were tied to a side quest but I had not picked up the side quest yet. I'm thinking of this cosmetics chest, that escape pod on the NW side of the Great Desert, or that big ass Pit in the Wasteland.

Some quests should be executed in a more linear fashion for the most impact, like Enya's, so not all side quests need to be like that. But it'd be cool if you could do quests before you even talk to an NPC quest giver. It gives that sense of exploration a more rewarding feeling.

It's actually the one of the things the game did excel at. Enemy types have different movesets and gain new moves as you progress with each region. For example the crickets in Matrix 11 gain new attacks and a grab compared to the crickets in Eidos 7. Not super long. There are two city sections separated by a monorail ride in the early game. Once you've finished the second of those city sections you'll fly to a hub city. I found Mann much more difficult on Hard mode. Scarlett is squishy as hell and because she does so many hits with each combo you build up energy fast. You really only need to fight her for a bit during her first phase, then you can easily stunlock her for the entirety of her second phase.

The thing is that Automata's endings aren't actually endings. They all continue the previous story. Because otherwise the game would only be 10 hours long. For example you miss a ton of detail or basically 70% of the game if you only play Ending A. That isn't the case for Stellar Blade. I was focusing on the final fight in particular, not the the Automata "endings" that are the funny game overs and the ones that are more like chapter endings, the final two endings in Automata can be gotten by just reloading the same save, but that doesn't work in Stellar Blade's, the endgame save will be locked to the choice you've made.

Also, if you actually want to get the worst ending a completely new playthrough would be mandatory even if the endgame allowed you to redo the final choice, since getting the shitty version of the best ending requires you to neglect several side-quests.

That's one hell of an opinion then. In Souls you have no parry option aside from the very gimped ER version and your primary defense is the dodge roll. You also have varying playstyles with shields and magic that are all viable. Lies of P is the opposite where you cannot rely on your Bloodborne dash and instead need to parry and build up stun. There's also no viable non-melee and shield builds.
