They did literally nothing with the map assets. After their siege warfare pitch fell through their focus became plant density and realistic forests. This is one of the main reasons I bought the first game, because it looked like they were going to be the last devs to actually put work into open world assets, and I was 100% right.

But KCD2's open world is like 90% KCD1 assets so I'm not interested

One step forward, two steps back.
They added QoL features, better minigames like blacksmithing, more weapons and minor combat improvements. All paired with a quest design that doesn't respects your time and only exists to pad the duration of the game, a story that resembles a Marvel movie rather than a true sequel of the "boy who became a man" story from the first game, and crunchy woke bits that are too loud to ignore.
The first half is really solid, but it comes down on kuttenberg forcing you to help jews, many "women strong" bits, and side with the first black man in medieval bohemia who thinks he's better than you and your culture.

Swords are too OP. They really should cuck them into oblivion vs armored targets.

Swords are op because of the extra mechanics, but conceptually they should have the highest combo damage against armor together with poleaxes, with combos being all about thrusting into gaps.
Hammers and axes being ass is perfectly reasonable at that point in history, they were mostly just used as cavalry sidearms by the 15th century.
The only weapon that is too weak relative to the rest is the poleaxe, which should be the only one to actually do damage on direct blows against armor (and even then cuirasses likely ought to have enough defense to shrug off most of the attack, limiting poleaxe blows to limbs and head, plus obviously comboing into gaps).

Kuttenberg is confusing because the devs rolled a dice to decide whether a building or a yard has an entrance on one side or both sides. Or worst of all, a crossable entrance on one side, and an uninteractable one on the other.

What's the status on the bugs? Is there still lots of bugs after the hotfix? Everytime they launch patch they added more bug than the fixes
