If a company gets taxed they literally pass the buck and have someone else pay for it in full.
That's the main issue. Tarrifs have been around for hundreds of years not every fucking raise in them was directly and unequivocally passed to the consumer.
Raising prices used to be taboo and companies found other ways to make the balance sheet work. Layoffs, pay cuts, etc. Now they don't have to do that and say "fuck you". After covid rampant inflation these companies are not your friend they're your enemy.
Also I ignored your Trump statement because tarrifs is a tax that can raise and fall. That's outside of him, what do you want to me to say "don't raise tarrifs because these poor corporations are gonna make me pay for them?" fuck em fuck any company that thinks so little of their consumers they treat you with such anamosity. I'm all for tarrifs before income tax the US government got the majority of its funding via tarrifs. I'd love to fucking go back to that system.
We HAVE to pay income tax. I don't need to buy a switch.
