>>715086267 (OP)Like I wanna make semi-serious post on the topic because I'm more left-leaning person.
Taash person's scene comes off as very strange. Considering the world and setting, they talk about the whole situation in current world terms, and it really isn't handled that well.
It's like Hollywood movie or some TV series scene. Hell, it's more of a "this is how you come out to your parents" kind of deal. It is sad that I have to bring BG3 as a positive example of a game in any capacity because it handles current year topics like immigration and racism better.
Doesn't help that they made Qunari look like humans with horns basically. It all feels very "American idpol". Like you cannot approach any modern issue without direct comparison to IRL things in your fictional settings. There is so much fucking potential to think about Qunari culture and way of life and how someone who doesn't think they fit neither male or female Qunari would handle that stuff.
Instead it is handled like your typical American middle-class family sitting down and using modern terms etc.
There is NOTHING WRONG with wanting to make non-binary char, but at least write it good. Make them struggle to find that thing, trying to discuss it proper in the setting.
Undertale/Deltarune mc is non-binary.
That's it. Backstory? Doesn't matter. Frisk/Kris just is nb. The game isn't about the nb aspect, but what you as a player do.
So it's hard to compare.
Still Dragon Age fucked up.
