You don't cut the pie when clearing a room because you're standing in a funnel that every gun is pre-aimed at and can be at any possible angle from within that room so you push as many guns into it as fast as you can to secure every corner at once. You cut the pie when you're rounding a corner like a street where both you and the other guy are partially obscured from one another.
Speed is war, aggression wins fights and tempo wins battles. You need lots of violence of action to shock your way through the hardened resistance and that means being so hopped up on your hype that you jump through a door you know has guns aimed at it and stare only at your corner expecting your friends to cover what you're not.

But one is a method for military and paramilitary organizations in combat zones the other is for police organizations, the latter is not expected to be facing the same ready resistance as the former (and also should still have a partner).

Depends, airsoft scenes have a huge variance between countries. Out here in the Nordics it's pretty good because you can count on people not being cheating niggers and generally being pretty competent. Some organizers never bother dealing with team stacking though which makes games miserable if you're a loner. I don't really play multiplayer FPS games anymore though so hard to compare now.

I'm literally a 40yo nofriends hermit who just drinks whiskey and plays video games on his off time so I don't know how well that works for the argument. But airsoft is one of the few social activities I do outside of work and I do enjoy it. As for the OPs video, it's easy to see the problem, it's all these "intermediate" level glop players that are always the worst to have on the team. They're not quite the newbie kids, they think they're somewhat competent but lack the ability to read the game and the balls to take initiative. Winning matches is mostly about building momentum and it's always a struggle with these guys, they will sit behind their favorite cover only moving when it's 120% assured to be safe. Same goes for the fag sitting in the corner. Competent game organizers have objectives set up so that you'll never win by sitting in a shitbox, and most boxes have multiple openings anyway. For guys like this it's pretty simple, you have one dude keep tabs on him and the rest move on to play the objective. But if you must take that shitbox you have one guy just run straight in with another following right behind him. Nine times out of ten he will be distracted by the guy who just went full Sonichu autist dash in. Of course that's hard with the glop players because they don't ever want to get hit themselves and cannot be counted on to actually follow behind you either. I suppose it's the same in FPS games with over half of the team opting to sit behind a hill to try potshot someone while a few guys are out in the front desperately trying to get the game going.

Airsoft plays moreso like an evolved form of playground shit, most of the time hide and seek. Due to how BBs work you can't just use an airsoft gun like a videogame gun. If you want to hit anything what you're always gonna do is spray multiple shots so you can track where the BBs are going, you don't actually "aim" the gun, that's just not practical.
The fun of airsoft more comes in figuring out how to abuse the field you're playing on depending on the gamemode, either by finding really good hiding spots, rotations people don't expect, and teamwork.

And the milsim aspect is really fun too but you'll be lucky to have maybe 2 actual milsim games in your entire life if you life in an area where those are set up.

Yeah this, since it isn't a huge scene people tend to know each other and the local regulars, so cheaters become known faces very quickly. It's a social hobby too, not a multiplayer lobby with randoms you'll never see again, even if you don't get outright banned from the local field nobody wants to deal with you and airsoft with the social component is pretty bleak.
