I was extremely depressed during this time so nothing was really fun or brought any sense of happiness even for a bit.

Once I entered my 30s, I started making some changes in life and learned to be content with what I got. And games became fun again. Even though most modern and AAA games are terrible due to how monetized, unfished, and political they are...I still find games to be fun because I learned to not care about AAA titles or FotMs. And I just play want I want and like to play.

Now I'm 36 and just buy games on sale and I've been playing catchup, the only games I've spent over $30 for were Starfield at launch and Expedition 33, the former was a real eye opener on AAA shit games and the latter was really good and worth the price.
