Probably not, maybe I'll get a ps6pro since the pro version always seems to be the bare minimum they already promised with the base console.

the last sony console I got was PSP and after closing the store and losing Breath of Fire 3 and 4 I got mad, jailbroke it, played like 3 times more games for free than games I bought and never went with anything sony ever again.

Everything play the same games now, only thing that was locked out was the switch, we'll see about the switch 2. So if you have no money issues go pc, or go with whatever your friends have, or go with a used sexbox for extra cheap. Or go with switch 2 if your phone is shit and you also need a handheld.

Nobody cares. Games are games. And Sony first party output has been unimaginative generic movie game sloppa since the PS4 era anyway. Last time Sony had any diversity of game genres was on the PS3.

The average person buys a console because it is convenient and the hardware is cheap, or because it's what their friends have. No one actually cares about exclusives outside of nintendo, excluding maybe a few deranged twittertard fanboys.

70 million bought MK8D, 50 million bought ACNH, 30 million bought BOTW. Sony porting their games to PC is one of the dumbest things they've ever done. Sure their IPs aren't as popular as Nintendo but it still mattered

The PS3 recovered during the second half of its life after Microsoft shat the bed with Kinect, but its main fatal flaw is that it ate all of the profits the PS2 had done. PS5 on the other hand is a complete failure ridden with price increase controversies, a Pro version with a disc tray sold separately, almost all of its exclusives had been ported to PC because the console, as much as it apparently sold, has the worst attachment rate in the history of videogames, and it's better know as a chinese gacha and (failed) live service games machine. It's so bad that it finally forced Square Enix to drop exclusivity after how bad FFVII Rebirth and FFXVI sold during their timed exclusivity.

PS5 is by far the worst console Sony has ever released.

Exclusives are the main point for deciding on choosing a console. If you don't care about it just keep investing on a better pc
