The progression seems to be a major issue. Like 90% of the great desert besides abyss leviose is purely optional, for better or worse. Also you typically finish the nikke dlc after the great desert but by the time you wont have enough stats to actually challenge scarlet since she is a post game boss, but said post game is locked behind 2 no points of return which is actually nearly half the game provided you didnt waste several hours doing side quests.

Kojima was on to something with that one character in MGS2 having armpit stubble.(thats right i said it) he truly is a genius. however i think he made a mistake not expanding on that concept in MGS4. I think that the female soldiers should all have had armpit cutouts where there was an area without fabric to show them off. I also think he should have made a list of 20 or so armpit hair styles and made it so every female soldier spawns with a randomized one. All your change would result in is the player never having to move at all and never being punished for using the rush too liberally, it would be free instantaneous movement with no downsides at all. This is the exact design that you're advocating for, anon. Infinite Rush attacks means you don't have to flip around or move because you just hold a button and no matter what you'll instantly be directly next to them, doesn't matter a single bit what the enemy does at all anymore. Witch Time/slowmo on dodge doesn't add anything to gameplay, it just rewards playing normally with a massive boost for no reason. The equivalent of if the enemy stopped fighting for a second or two everytime you parried or dodged, antifun in my opinion. And finally giving the enemy too much poise just means you can't interact with them because nothing you do will actually affect them, meaning you're incentivised to not actually act at all outside of "parry bait" as you call it.
Also that is not what Stellar Blade is like at all.

The issue comes from you not playing well, anon. Eve doesn't ever have to stop moving or attacking, she can be on the boss almost all the time barring a few keep away attacks. She has multiple Stinger-like attacks that let you keep up aggression, they just aren't entirely free and require timing.

It's alright, it's obvious it is made by people who only made mobile games before, it plays like one for most of the game, only when you unlock most skills does it feel like decent hack and slash in how free the combat feels, yet stuff like teleporting attacks and floaty movement still remain. Shit like yellow paint and barely functional parkour don't help either.
The thing that truly drags it down is the price tho, €70 for a port of a 1 year old game that feels like a indie project is absurd, if it was like €30, I would overlook all issues honestly.

I'm glad that the creator admitted that they fumbled the story a bit. You can see little bits and pieces of genuinely interesting stuff in a lot of the text notes and side quests, but they ultimately fucked up the presentation in the main plot quite a bit. Like check out Adam's description after finishing the game, they just put arguably the most important aspect of his character into a biography section that most people will completely miss.
