I feel the same way. I look at modern gacha girls in general and they’re all so overdesigned and have all these bright colors on them. What’s funny is they all try to look unique and original but nowadays I have trouble telling gacha girls apart. It’s like they’re all the same girl wearing different outfits.
And ye GFL isn’t any different honestly. You look at the earlier Dolls and they look so simple and elegant compared to the new Dolls that get added every month. It’s honestly kinda sad, so much creative energy going to waste like that.
At least with older characters like 45, the artists already have a reference sheet to go off of. I’d hate to design a new girl from scratch in this day and age. The new girls introduced in GFL2 are cute but they look a little generic and/or overdesigned.
